): Notification for the Huzurnbagar Assembly by-election was issued today b y the Election Commission.
As per the schedule, nominations will be received by the Returning officer from today till September 30. Scrutiny of nominations will take place on October 1, while October 3 is the last date for withdrawal of nominations. Polling will be held on October 21, and the counting will take place on October 24.
Arrangements ere made in the office of Tehsildar, Huzurnagar, for the election process. The vacancy was caused due to the resignation of N Uttam Kumar Reddy, who was elected as Lok Sabha Member from Nalgonda seat.
The ruling TRS has already announced its candidate for the seat, S Saidi Reddy, who contested the same seat in 2018 elections, but lost to Uttam Kumar Reddy. The Congress is likely to field former MLA and wife of Uttam Kumar Reddy, Padmavathi, while the BJP is also making efforts to find a candidate who can win the seat.
