Hyderabad’6’Jan (Fatima-PMI) Huge amount of illicit liquor seized in Hyderabad. Task force police of the Excise Department conducted checks at Secunderabad Railway Station. Police seized 82 bottles of liquor illegally brought from Goa. Police said that two people who were transporting the liquor have been arrested.
The task force police said that they had received a tip-off that liquor was being smuggled in the Vasco Da Gama – Secunderabad train. Following this, they reached Shadnagar railway station in advance and conducted a thorough check on the train till it reached Secunderabad and seized the liquor. The value of the seized liquor is Rs. 22 lakhs, the police said.(PMI)
