HNEW CONDUCTED JOINT OPERATION ALONG WITH KACHIGUDA POLICE – HELD GANJA SUPPLIERS SEIZED (114) KGs GANJA, CASH Rs.3200/-AND (08) MOBILE PHONES. ALL W/RS.50 LAKHS

Hyderabad; 23 Nov 2024 (PMI): HYDERABAD CITY POLICE – HNEW CONDUCTED JOINT OPERATION ALONG WITH KACHIGUDA POLICE – HELD GANJA SUPPLIERS (4), TRANSPORTER’S (2), PEDDLER (1) AND SEIZED (114) KGs GANJA, CASH Rs.3200/-AND (08) MOBILE PHONES. ALL W/RS.50 LAKHS.
On credible information the HNEW team had conducted joint operation along with Kachiguda Police and apprehended (07) accused persons in the case and seized (114) KGs Ganja, Cash Rs.3200/- and (08) mobile phones from their possession in Crime No.438/2024, U/Sec 8(c) r/w 20(B) (ii) (C), 29 NDPS Act 1985 of Kachiguda PS, Hyderabad.

DETAILS OF INTER STATE GANJA SUPPLIER:
1. Balji Govind, S/o. Appala Naidu, age 34 years, N/o. Anakapalli Dist in AP
(In the year 2019 he was arrested by Kanchili PS, Srikakulam Dist for
supplying 200 KGs of Ganja along with his other associates. Further in the
year 2023 he along with his other associates were arrested by Vetapalem
PS, Ongole Dist for supplying 22 KGs Ganja).

2. Adigarla Prakash Kumar @ Prakash, S/o. Srinivas, age 23 years, N/o.
Anakapalli Dist in A.P. ( In the year 2021 he was arrested by Rajanagaram
PS, Rajahmandry Dist for supplying of Ganja 401 KGs along with his other
associates.

3. Malasala Mohan Rao, @ Mohan, S/o Late Appa Rao, age 44 years, N/o.
Anakapalli Dist in A.P. ( In the year 2016 he was arrested by Chodavaram
PS, Anakapalli Dist for supplying of Ganja 21 KGs along with his other
associates, in the year 2017 he was arrested by Devarapalli PS, Anakapalli
Dist for supplying of Ganja 21 KGs along with his other associates and he
is facing trail in both the cases. He was also arrested in the year 2018 by
Ramachandrapuram PS, East Godawari Dist in Counterfeit Currency
cases and also in the year 2023 he was arrested by Shamshabad PS,
Cyberabad in Counterfeit Currency case along with his other associates
wherein he is facing trail in both the cases.

4. Rajana Durga Hari Prasad @ Prasad, S/o. R. Parusharamudu, age 20 yrs,
N/o. Anakapalli Dist in A.P. State. (In the in the year 2023 he along with
his other associates were arrested by Vetapalem PS, Ongole Dist for
supplying 22 KGs of Ganja). The case is pending in the Hon’ble court for
service of accused summons.

5. Kodi Ramana, @ Kodi, S/o. Kodi Pentaiah, age 24 years, N/o. Anakapalli
Dist in AP State.

DETAILS OF GANJA TRANSPORTERS:
1. Lalam Gangadhar @ Matta @ Ganga, S/o. Lalam Raju Babu, age 20 years
R/o. Anakapalli Dist in AP State.

2. Yethula Gangadhar @ Gangadhar @ Arjun, S/o. Yethula Kanna Rao, age
19 years, R/o. Anakapalli Dist in AP State.
BRIEF ABOUT THE ACCUSED PERSONS:
The accused Balji Govind is a native of Anakapalli Dist, AP State. He discontinued his education in Intermediate. Previously he used to work in private sector and also in Hyderabad. In the year 2011 he left the job due to less salary and went to his native place and attended labour work. In the year 2015 he opened a Kirana Shop at his village and in the guise of said business he started doing Ganja business. Because of his meagre income he is indulged in procuring Ganja from the Ganja cultivators of Chitrakonda Forest area at a cheaper rate of Rs.1500/- Per KG from them and supplying to the wholesale Supplier @ Rs.5000/- per KG.
The accused Adigarla Prakash Kumar @ Prakash is a native of Anakapalli Dist. AP State. He discontinued his schooling in 8th Class and started attending wall painting works at his place. He observed that, one of his known people by name Govind is earning heavy profits by selling the Ganja. Upon which he joined hands with Govind and funding money to him and procuring Ganja at a low price at Rs.5,000/- per KG and supplying to the needy persons on high price of Rs.10,000/- per KG.
The accused Malasala Mohan Rao, @ Mohan is a native of Anakapalli Dist, AP State. He discontinued Intermediate vocational course. After that he used to work in various private firms. Later he started to work in a Quary at Rolagunta. He noticed that his neighboring villager Govind is selling Ganja and earning easy money. He joined with him and indulged in procuring Ganja at a lesser price and supplying to the needy persons on high price and earning easy money. Earlier he was arrested by the police for (04) times in NDPS Cases and also Counterfeit Currency Notes Case.
The accused Rajana Durga Hari Prasad @ Prasad is a native of Anakapalli Dist. He completed ITI Electrical. He discontinued his further studies and worked in private firms but he unable to reach his lavish desires. Through one of his uncle, he met with Govind. In the year 2022 he started procuring Ganja from Govind at a cheaper rate and as per the directions of Govind he used to supply the same to his known persons or other needy people at higher rates. Initially Govind used to give commission to him for an amount of Rs.1500/- per 2 KGs packet and later he developed contacts and started supplying Ganja to them at a high price and earning money easy.
The accused Kodi Ramana, @ Kodi a native of Anakapalli, AP State. He is car driver by profession and unable to maintain his desires. In this process he noticed that one known person by name Durga Hari Prasad is selling Ganja and earning money easy. He joined with him and purchasing the Ganja on low price and supplying the same to the Ganja Peddlers. To execute his plan he engaged the known persons namely 1) L.Gangadhar and 2) Y.Gangadhar to transport the Ganja upto the peddler’s place, for which he offered them commission. He also supplying Ganja to Hyderabad and also various places and earning money easy.
The accused persons 1) L.Gangadhar and 2) Y.Gangadharare the native of Anakapalli in AP State. From the past few months they are works for Kodi Ramana to transport the Ganja to one place to another place upto the peddler’s on commission basis.

MODUS OPERANDI:
In this case, all the accused persons hails from Anakapalli Dist in AP State. They are well known to each other. The accused persons Prakash Kumar and Mohan Rao are having knowledge that the accused Balji Govind had access with the Ganja cultivators at Chitrakonda Forest Area of Odhisa Andhra Border. Initially, they offered good commission to Balji Govind and funding money to purchase Ganja from the cultivators in huge quantity. According to their demand Govind purchasing Ganja from the cultivators and supplying to them at Lambasingh village. In addition to that Balji Govind purchasing Ganja from cultivators at the rate of Rs.1500/- per KG and supplying the same to wholesale Ganja supplier Durga Hari Prasad at the rate of Rs.5000/- per KG. In turn the accused Durga Hari Prasad supplying the same Ganja at the Rate of Rs.10,000/- to Kodi Ramana, who engaged two persons namely Lalam Gangadhar and Yethula Gangadhar to transport the Ganja to the peddlers at Hyderabad on commission basis. Here at Hyderabad the peddlers Balaji and Kumari are selling the Ganja at the rate of Rs.25,000/- per KG to the needy persons and earning money easy.
SEIZED MATERIAL:
1) Ganja weighing (114) KGs.
2) Cash Rs.3200/-.
3) Mobile Phones –(08).
