Hyderabad, Feb.7 (PMI): Himachal Pradesh Governor Bandaru Dattatreya today condoled the death of noted writer Poranki Dakshinamurthy. He said that Dakshinamurthy had introduced several reforms during his term as the deputy director at Telugu Academy and added that Murthy had worked hard for the development of Telugu language.
He also said that Dakshinamurthy was very religious and a man of moral values. Dakshinamurthy had translated an autobiography of a saint written by Paramahansa Yogananda into oka yogi aatma katha. He won the best translator award for his translation. Dattatreya said that Dakshinamurthy had won several awards like Kondepudi literary award and others. He said that the death of Dakshinamurthy was a great loss to the literary world of the country. (PMI)
