Hyderabad, May 11 (PMI): High Court today hit out at the state government for sudden decision to impose 10 days lockdown in Telangana from May 12.
The Court rapped the officials for stopping ambulances coming to Hyderabad from Andhra Pradesh or other states. Who gave you powers to stop the ambulances and play with people lives amid Corona surge the court expressed discontent.
The Court expressed serious displeasure at the Government for not taking any decision for the weekend lockdown as instructed earlier and more hours if night curfew.
The High Court objected that imposing suddenly the lockdown will add to woes if workers and people. The court asked the Government how the labourers and workers will get back to their native places with sudden lockdown. What about transportation facilities and problems of the sudden decision the court asked the Government.
The Court further instructed the government to check virus spread and increase all facilities in the hospitals. It heard the case on rising cases, shortage of injections, testing, oxygen and facilities. It expressed dismay on details given by the government on Corona cases, tests and facilities and directed measures to break the chain. The Court instructed to the Government to take steps to increase jabs, oxygen and facilities to offer immediate services. (PMI)
