Habitual Offender Wanted Across Tri Commissionerates Arrested by Kachiguda Police’ DCP Bala Swamy, IPS

Hyderabad, December 22 (Shoukat-PMI) Kachiguda Police of the East Zone, Hyderabad City, arrested a habitual offender who was wanted in multiple cases across the tri-commissionerates of Cyberabad, Rachakonda, and Hyderabad City.

The accused, K. Sudheer (43), was apprehended on December 22 in connection with Crime No. 432/2025 registered at Kachiguda Police Station under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Information Technology Act. Police said Sudheer was involved in 10 criminal cases, including nine cheating cases and one two-wheeler theft, reported in different police stations across the three commissionerates.

According to Sri. B Bala Swamy, IPS, Sudheer, an MBA graduate and currently unemployed, initially stayed near the Mahatma Gandhi Bus Station (MGBS) and later shifted to a hostel. During this period, he came into contact with RTC drivers and conductors and gathered information about vigilance procedures. Taking advantage of negligence by some conductors during long-distance journeys, he allegedly recorded videos of them while on duty and later impersonated an RTC Vigilance Officer.

To make his impersonation convincing, the accused reportedly used WhatsApp profile pictures of senior IPS officers who had served as RTC Managing Directors and communicated in official language. By intimidating conductors, he allegedly extorted money from them.

Based on technical analysis, the Kachiguda police team traced and arrested the accused at around 11 am on Monday. A Redmi mobile phone and two SIM cards were seized from him, while a two-wheeler was recovered in connection with a theft case.

Police further stated that Sudheer has a previous criminal record, including cases registered at Meerpet and Rajendranagar police stations for cheating and theft. During his earlier employment as a sales manager with an insurance company, he allegedly cheated people of nearly ₹3 crore. Two non-bailable warrants have been pending against him at Meerpet Police Station for the past four years.

The arrest was made under the supervision of senior officers of the East Zone. The Deputy Commissioner of Police, East Zone, Hyderabad City,   B Bala Swamy, IPS, appreciated the efforts of the Kachiguda police team and announced suitable rewards for the personnel involved. (pressmediaofindia.com)
