Hyderabad: Governor ESL Narasimhan, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and others today paid floral tributes to Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi to mark his 148^th birth anniversary here on Monday.

The Governor and the Chief Minister drove straight to Bapu Ghat at Langer House here and offered floral tributes to Father of the Nation. Others who paid floral tributes to Mahathma include Deputy Chief Minister Mohammad Mahmood Ali , Dy Speaker Padma Deveder Reddy, Home Minister Nayani Narsimha Reddy, Ministers P Mahender Reddy, Talasani Srinivas Yadav, Council Chairman Swamy Goud, Also MLCs Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy,  MLA , MLC and other officials.

School children from several schools inHyderabad also turned up to pay floral tributes to the Mahatma.

Several social organisations organised bhajans and cultural programmes highlighting the contribution of Mahatma on the occasion.
