Hyderabad, Congress senior leader Marri Shashidhar Reddy has said that the State was meted out injustice in the Union budget introduced by the NDA government.
Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan here on Friday, Marri dared Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to get him arrested as he was criticizing the Chief Minister directly. The TRS MPs, ministers had demanded the Centre to accord national status to Pranahitha-Chevella project, but the same leaders were now not demanding national status to Kaleswaram project.
The TRS government redesigned Pranahitha-Chevella project only to swallow money of Telangana people. The Centre will bear 90 percent funds if the project gets national status. But the TRS government was not demanding for it throwing the people to bear the huge burden of Kaleswaram project. He demanded the Centre to accord national status to Kaleswaram project and the State government has to mount pressure on the Centre in this regard.
It was not correct to the centre to neglect the Telangana, he said. Marri said that it was not good for the party to keep Greater Hyderabad president post vacant. No problem if Danam Nagender continued as president, but the party has to give clarity on it, he added.
