Govt to seek Central aid for Jangaon tourism circuit

Hyderabad: Telangana Government plans to start a cultural tourism circuit project in Jangaon district, said Bhupal Reddy, special secretary of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, today.

 Bhupal Reddy held a review meeting on the project along with MLA Errabelli Dayakar Rao, Tourism Secretary B Venkatesham, Managing Director Christina Chongtu, Collector Devasena and others. It may be mentioned here that Chief Minister KCR had recently made a visit to Bammera Pothanna tomb and promised to develop the area as a tourism spot in Telangana.

Taking cue from the Chief Minister’s assurance, the meeting discussed about the project and took a decision to seek central assistance. The plan of circuit includes Bammera, Pembarti, Palakurty, Jafargadh, Khilashpur areas in the project. It was decided to send a report to the Centre seeking funds for the project. On deciding to send a missive to the Centre for funds, Bhupal Reddy instructed the district administration to begin the related works of the project.
