Hyderabad, March 28 (PMI): State government has decided to hold Sri Rama Navami in a modest manner. State Endowments Minister A. Indrakaran Reddy said that the decision was taken by keeping in view of the spread of Covid 19 virus and on the basis of the orders the Chief Minister of the state KCR to hold the marriage celebrations in a modest manner.
He said that the celebrations would be held in the presence of limited number of people. He said that the celebrations would be held as per agama sastra on the premises of the temple of Rama in Bhadrachalam. He urged the devotees to not come to Bhadradri to witness the marriage ceremony by taking into consideration the conditions prevailing in the state. He asked the devotees to watch the celebrations live on their TVs.
The minister said that they would repay the money of all those devotees who have booked their tickets online. The minister spoke to State Transport Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar, Commissioner of Endowments department and the district collector over phone on the organization of the celebrations.
The minister also announced that they would allow the devotees to have Darshans at all temples of the state as per Covid 19 Protocal. He urged the devotees to follow the Covid 19 rules without fail. He issued orders to the officials of all temples to strictly implement the Covid 19 rules and sanitize the temple premises regularly. He said that the devotees should wear masks and maintain social distance. (PMI)
