Govt actively promoting for development of women in various sectors: CM Revanth Revanth

Narayanpet, Feb.21 (PMI): Chief Minister Revanth Reddy stated that the government is actively promoting the involvement of women across various sectors, with the primary aim of creating one crore women millionaires in Telangana.

            The Chief Minister opened a petrol station managed by women’s groups in Narayanpet on Friday.

            During his speech, he expressed his joy at the fact that this is the first time in the country that women’s groups have established a petrol station, emphasizing that the government prioritizes the welfare and advancement of the women’s community.

             “The administration firmly believes in empowering women to live with dignity. The self-help groups were revitalized shortly after the Congress party took office in Telangana, and there are currently 67 lakh members in these groups,” Revanth Reddy remarked.

            Women’s groups currently own 600 RTC buses in Telangana. Additionally, initiatives are underway to enable women to establish 1,000 MW solar power plants. Stalls have also been created at Shilparamam, offering a marketing platform for products made by women’s self-help groups, he mentioned.

            The Chief Minister announced that each woman member of these groups will receive two sarees annually as a gift, stating that these women will be regarded as daughters and provided with high-quality sarees.

            “All women will be treated equally, regardless of whether they come from rural or urban backgrounds,” he emphasized.

            Revanth Reddy also urged BJP MP DK Aruna to advocate for funding from the Union government for Telangana State.

            The Chief Minister affirmed that the State government is prepared to provide any necessary support for the advancement of women.

            He also stressed the importance of paying special focus on the development of schools and assured that the State government is ready to provide funds for the development of schools. (PMI)
