Hyderabad, Nov.9 (PMI): Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan has strongly suspected that her phone calls are being tapped in Telangana.
Speaking at a press conference at the Raj Bhavan here on Wednesday, the Governor alleged that the undemocratic situation was prevailed in Telangana and there was no personal liberty as the phones were being tapped.
She lashed out at the State government for dragging the names of Tushar, who worked as ADC to her and the Raj Bhavan into the Moinabad farmhouse episode where four TRS MLAs were allegedly tropped for toppling the State government.
“Tushar has called me up and extended his Deepavali festival wishes. How can you say that he and Raj Bhavan are being involved in the farmhouse episode just because of calling me up. I strongly suspect that my phone calls are being tapped,” she said.
Responding to the delay in clearing the Telangana Universities Common Recruitment Board Bill, the Governor said that she has written a letter to the Government, asking the Education Minister to meet her and discuss the Bill. But, they are yet to respond and say that any communication has not received from the Governor’s office, Tamilisai said.
“I have some doubts over the proposed bill and asked some clarifications from the Government in this regard. So, I have kept it pending. What is the problem to come and clear the doubts,” she asked.
He also found fault with the Students’ JAC for agitating in front of the Raj Bhavan demanding the clearance of Universities Common Recruitment Bill, saying that the appointment of Vice-chancellors have been pending for over eight years in Telangana and asked why the students are responding to the issue.
