Hyderabad, Dec.31 (PMI): Governor Jishnu Dev Varma has extended his warmest congratulations and best wishes for a happy and prosperous New Year 2026 to all Indians, and particularly to the people of Telangana.
In a statement here on Wednesday, the Governor hoped that the year 2026 would bring everyone good health, prosperity, fulfillment of aspirations, and lasting happiness.
“I call upon everyone to commit to the vision of Viksit Bharat by working towards a developed India through innovation, inclusive growth, and sustainable development, ensuring progress reaches every citizen,” he said.
The Governor urged all the people to continue their successful efforts against social ills and poor health, striving to build an equitable, just, friendly, inclusive, peaceful, sustainable, and healthy society.
Jishnu Dev Varma further stated that he will be available at Lok Bhavan from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm on Thursday, January 1, for exchange of pleasantries and greetings with the general public and civil society organisations, as part of the New Year celebrations. Lok Bhavan will open to all during the above period for exchange of greetings.
However, the Lok Bhavan informed that items such as handbags, carry bags, water bottles, cameras, mobile phones, etc., are not permitted inside. If brought, visitors are requested to keep such items in their vehicles or deposit them with the security personnel, the statement said. (pressmediaovindia.com)
