Hyderabad, May 6 (PMI): The Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar today stressed the need to focus on treatment for all people with symptoms through medical kits without delay. He said that the medical kits be offered for all patients by providing medical kits to all those who have symptoms and not to wait for test reports.
As per directions by chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to increase facilities to fight Corona cases surge, the Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar today visited Boggulukunta urban primary health centre here .He inspected the functioning of the covid outpatient services which were started in all the Government Hospitals, sub centres and PHCs across the state.
Somesh Kumar gone through the health centre and enquired about the arrangements made for starting out- patient services. Doctors informed that regular services are being provided in the health centre. While covid outpatient services are being provided in a community hall nearby. This is being done to avoid crowding.
The Chief Secretary stressed the need for focusing on treatment of all patients by providing medical kits to all those who have symptoms and not to wait for test reports. If the fever persists for more than four days then the patients should be administered steroids by which we can save people from breathlessness and hospital beds etc, he observed.
Secretary Health S.A.M.Rizvi, Commissioner GHMC Lokesh Kumar, Zonal Commissioner Pravinya, Director Public Health Srinivas Rao and other senior officials were present. (PMI)
