Hyderabad, GHMC Commissioner Dr B. Janardhan Reddy today said the corporation was planning to constitute Lake Protection Committee with local residents and public representatives of that particular areas to protect the lakes and prevent throwing of garbage and waste plastic and also other waste materials to curb encroachments in the areas.
The Commissioner, Kauser Mohiuddin, MLA, Karwan, along with senior officials of various departments visited various areas under the Karwan Assembly constituency and inspected the ongoing works like road widening programs and encroachments coming up in the constituency. He directed the authorities to look into the matter on priority. The Commissioner directed the officials to curb the menace of throwing debris in and around the lake duly involving the local residents to protect all the Government properties.
The MLA requested the Commissioner to utilize the five acres of land near Golkonda Police Station for construction double bed room houses. In this context, the Commissioner assured the MLA the matter will be taken care and directed the engineering officials to complete all the sanctioned works at the earliest.
