Hyderabad, Feb.3 (PMI): GHMC Commissioner Ilambarthi has instructed the officials not to tolerate delays in resolving the grievances received from the public during weekly prajavani program. The Commissioner participated in the Prajavani programme organized at the GHMC headquarters on Monday and received the complaints from people from all over the city. He directed the concerned officials to examine them thoroughly and find a solution on the spot.
Speaking on the occasion, the Commissioner said the authorities should make special efforts to solve the problem of the people of the city. He directed the officials to send a written reply to the petitioner on the number of days within which their problem would be resolved. People from all over the city have submitted their grievances to the commissioner as well as town planning officials and additional commissioners.
Four requests were received through prajavani phone-in programme and they were sent to the respective departments for speedy disposal. Of the 44 requests received during the Prajavani programme held at the GHMC headquarters, 22 were received by the town planning department, four each for tax and FA departments, three for engineering (maintenance) department, two each for sanitation, veterinary, estates and housing departments, and one each for land acquisition, admin and UBD departments.
A total of 86 applications were received in the six zones under the GHMC limits. Of these, 45 were received in Kukatpally zone, 10 in Secunderabad zone, 20 in Serilingampally zone, six in Charminar zone, four in LB Nagar zone and one in Khairatabad zone.
Additional Commissioners Shiva Kumar Naidu, Yadagiri Rao, Geetha Radhika, Additional CCP Gangadhar, Pradeep, Water Works GM Sai Ramana, Housing SE Krishna Rao, E E Rajeshwar Rao, Chief Veterinary Officer Dr Abdul Vakil, Estate Officer Uma Prakash, Valuation Officer Mahesh Kulkarni, OSD Anuradha, AMCs and other department officials and staff participated in the programme.
