GHMC chief directs officials to rid roads of garbage

Hyderabad, Nov.2 (PMI): M. Dana Kishore, Commissioner, GHMC, directed all the ZCs / DCs and AMOHs that there should not be any type of C&D and waste and other garbage waste materials on the roads and by lanes and this has to be cleared in a span of one month and to make the city with clean and green environment, if need is there the officials can deploy additional vehicles for the above said cause.
Today morning the Commissioner made a surprise inspections at Serilingampally zone where Ms. Harichandana, ZC along with various Heads of the Departments and went around various areas of Serilingampally circle areas and inspected the ongoing works pertaining to Sanitation, road repairing works etc., he also inspected Guttala Begumpet, Ayyappa Society, Madhapur, Mega Hills, Marri Channa Reddy Institute areas and directed the officials to Jiotag all the open garbage points and also GIS may be provided for the garbage transport vehicles and also to use the modern technology for transportation etc.,
While on inspection at Guttala Begumpet he has observed construction C&D waste bank and in front of the house where the commissioner directed the officials to impose the fine for dumping the C&D waste on the road. The road repairing works which are being taken up from Madhapur to Mega Hills the road may be closed till the entire work is completed.
The Commissioner directed the ZC and senior officials to prepare an action plan for removing of the entire C&D and garbage waste in the coming 30 days and the action plan has to be followed to derive good results, he added. (PMI)
