Hyderabad Dec 7 (PMI): The Gang Rape Case four persons were convicted sentenced to undergo twenty (20) years Rigorous Imprisonment and imposed fine of Rs 2,000/- to each accused. Smt K. Maruthi Devi the Hon’ble 1 st Special Sessions Judge Cum XVII Addl. Dist. Sessions Judge, Ranga Reddy Dist at LB Nagar conducted speedy trial on PD detents involved in a Gang Rape case of PS Maheshwaram.
The four (04) accused persons including victim women hailed from Odisha state and are laborers by profession. They were working as a laborers at JMB Brick Kilns at ND Thanda, Maheshwaram and living in same premises. The victim woman on 16th August 2019 about 07.30 PM went to attend the calls of nature the accused persons followed the victim from backside and took her to an isolated place under the cover of bushes where the (04) accused forcibly committed rape on her one after another and fled away on arrival of coworkers.
On 22nd August 2019 the Maheshwaram Police arrested the accused persons A-1 to A-4 and remanded them to judicial custody after completing all the formalities and collection of necessary evidence. Since the activities of the offenders are prejudicial to the maintenance of Public Order, Sri Mahesh M Bhagwat IPS Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda invoked PD Act against them on 04th November 2019 and detained them in Central Prison, Cherlapally and also addressed a letter to the Hon’ble MSJ Court at LB Nagar with a prayer to conduct speedy trial of the case as they are out of State (Odisha) Offenders.
In this case, Addl. PP Sri V. Buchi Reddy and Legal Advisor, Rachakonda Sri. Chandrashekar, IO Sri. D. Venkanna Naik (Present CCS Malkajgiri), CDO HC 2917 Sri. Ganesh, PC 4715 Sri G. Sridhar, & HC 2773 Sri. B. Sitaram Reddy of PD-Cell, Rachakonda ~ 2 ~ have attended on behalf of prosecution, under the direct Supervision of DCP. L.B. Nagar Zone Sri. Sunpreeth Singh IPS, Sri. Yadagiri Reddy ACP, Ibrahimpatnam. This case has been closely monitored by CP Rachakonda Sri. Mahesh M. Bhagwat by giving time to time instructions & advices which resulted in securing this conviction, CP Rachakonda also appreciated Inspector PD Cell Sri. K. Vijay Srinivas, Inspector CCRB Sri.
