Alampur: Two people were killed in a road accident on Friday evening at Vaddepalli. The family of Boya Narayana were returning from Jilledidhinne on a tractor. While on their way of Alampur-Rayachur national highway, suddenly, the driver lost control over the steering and the speeding tractor rammed into farming lands where the truck and engine both turtled. During the accident, Boya Maddileti (55) and Boya Venkateswaramma (30) died on the spot. The tractor contains 20 members and the driver Nagesh, his son Madhu, Seshamma, Rangamma and Venkateswaramma were severely injured and shifted to Kurnool private hospital for the treatment. The bodies of the deceased were shifted to Alampur government hosiptal for post-mortem. The police has filed a case and probing the matter.
Nagarkurnool: A man was killed in a road accident on Friday evening at Marikal village. The deceased was identified as Vadde Suresh (19). When he was cultivating the land, he lost control over the tractor which turned turtle. During the accident, he struck below the vehicle and with the help of locals he was rescued and shifted to Badepalli government hospital. There he died while undergoing treatment. Based on a complaint given by Suresh’s father Bheemaiah, the police filed a case and conducted a post-mortem.
Mahbubnagar: A woman was killed in an accident on Thursday evening at Hanwada. While on their way to hometown on a bike, a speeding auto from Hanwada hit a two wheeler. Venkatamma was seriously injured and shifted to Gandhi hospital, Hyderabad. There she died when the treatment was underway. The police registered a case and started investigation.
Bhutpur: Three people were severely injured in an accident on Friday evening at Seripalli B. According to head constable Sudharshan, a family was heading to Hyderabad from Kurnool on a national highway. Since the car tire was flat, the driver parked the vehicle on the road side. One of the passengers Kalpana stood in front of the car when suddenly, a two wheeler hit her, causing her left hand and right leg to break. The people who were on the bike also severely injured and shifted them to the hospital. The duo were identified as a natives of Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh. The police filed a case and started investigation.
