Former Union Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad, who is part of a delegation visiting Gulf countries, has been admitted to a hospital.
Kuwait’May 28: Ghulam Nabi Azad, former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir and president of the Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP), has been admitted to a hospital in Kuwait. He is part of an all-party delegation touring several countries to expose Pakistan’s propaganda following Operation Sindhur.
Reports say Azad’s health worsened on Tuesday, leading to his hospitalization in Kuwait. BJP Member of Parliament Nishi Kant Dubey, who is part of the delegation, posted on X (formerly Twitter) that he visited Azad in the hospital, where Azad became emotional.
Praising Azad’s dedication, Dubey said, “Despite his poor health, he accepted to be part of the delegation for the country. Even today, when we met him in the hospital, his eyes were filled with tears. Such politicians are rare these days, and I pray for his speedy recovery.”
BJP MP Baijayant Panda, who leads the delegation, also shared pictures on X and updated on Azad’s condition. He said Azad was hospitalized mid-tour but is now stable and under medical supervision, with some tests being conducted.
Panda added, “His cooperation during meetings in Bahrain and Kuwait was very impressive, and he is disappointed about being hospitalized. We will remember his presence in Saudi Arabia and Algeria.” He highlighted Azad’s important contributions and expressed hope that Azad will recover soon and rejoin the delegation.
Hyderabad Member of Parliament Asaduddin Owaisi also visited Ghulam Nabi Azad to pay him a get-well visit.
