The accident became more serious when the gas cylinder exploded. The five family members living in the flat who were panicked as the fire broke out, ran out of the apartment. Firefighters reached the spot after receiving the information. The fire was controlled with three fire engines
But the flat was completely burnt. Money, clothes and valuables were burnt. The victims complained that they had suffered property damage of around Rs.50 lakh. Meanwhile, the fire engine had to work for an hour as there was no way to escape. The police have registered a case and are investigating the incident.(PMI)
