HYDERABAD: In a shocking incident, a father allegedly sold his 18-day-old infant for Rs 1 lakh in the jurisdiction of Bandlaguda Police Station in Hyderabad. The father, Asif, sold the baby, and four days later, the mother reported the incident to the Bandlaguda police. Upon receiving the complaint, the police acted swiftly and managed to rescue the infant, returning the baby to the mother. Asif and another person, Chand Sultan, who was involved in the sale, have been arrested.
