Hyderabad, Nov.14 (Press media of india): The Special Operation Team, Madhapur Zone and Miyapur Police have busted a fake education certificates racket and arrested six members of the gang on Sunday. The accused, who were arrested in Miyapur, were involved in preparation and procurement of Bachelor Degree courses certificates.
The interstate gang had prepared fake certificates of Mahathma Gandhi University of Meghalaya State and the police seized fake certificates of MG university, 157 Memo of marks sets, 11 MG University Convocation Files, Registered post envelops eight, HCL CPU (Intel Core) one, nine Laptops, four stamps, MG University ID Cards, MG University prospectus, three sets of SS Universities Center letter pad, SS Universities Center Application Forms, seven Bill Books, one students name record dairy, eight Panjab Technical University tutorial CDs, one MG University CD Guide, seven Registers, Net cash of Rs 50,000, seven Mobile phones and cash at Bank accounts of the accused persons of Rs 37,45,345.
The accused were identified as Milli Goel, Director of MG university Meghalaya–(absconding), Dinesh Singh ACK management Institute Proprietor of Keshavpuram, Delhi, Akhilesh Semwal, ACK management proprietor residing at Sai Apartment, Noida, UP (formally controller of examinations, MG University, Tajinder Singh ACK management Proprietor of Keshavpuram, Delhi (Formally Dy controller of examinations, MG University, Garikapati Venkata Baskara Satyanarayana Sharma alias Sharma of Distance Education Center, Mettuguda, Secnderabad, and Geekuru Prem Kumar software developer of TCS Company at Gachibowli) and residing at Satyanarayana Colony, Chaithanyapuri, Hyderabad and native of Kammam District, Shivani, clerk at MG university of Meghalaya (absconding), Singarapu Sujatha, receptionist in SS Universities centre, residing near Ayyappa Temple, Mettiguda, Secunderabad.
The Miyapur police registered case Cr. No 1385/2022 U/s 420, 467, 468, 471, 474, R/w 109 IPC.
Complainant Shaik Khaja Nayab Rasool residing at Miyapur and a native of Visakhapatnam stated that about four months back, he came to Hyderabad and stayed in Miyapur. He wanted to pursue degree and sought suggestion from one Prem Kumar. He asked him to meet one Sharma, who is resident of Secundrabad and running a consultancy. Prem Kumar told Rasool that Sharma can provide a Degree certificate in one sitting and contacted Sharma for BSC (IT) course in distance mode. Sharma told that he knows Akilesh and Praveen of Mahathma Gandhi University Meghalaya and with their help he can conduct online exam for BSC (1T) Course.
Later Prem told the complainant that the fee for the course is Rs 2,10,000. Accordingly, the complainant sent Rs 2,07,000 through his phone pay (9441573592) account to Prem Kumar’s phone pay (9701041841) account. After a few days, the complainant received memos of Mahatma Gandhi University, Meghalaya for the academic years 2014, 2015 and 2016 through Prem Kumar WhatsApp. Later, he verified his certificates and came to know that those are fake certificates.
Based on the information, the police team apprehended accused Geekuru Prem Kumar and Garikapati Venkata Baskara Satyanarayana Sharma of Secundrabad, who have been providing one-time sitting degree certificates from Mahathma Gandhi University of Meghalaya. He provided some 430 fake certificates from the university with the help of Akhilesh Semwal, Dinesh Singh and Tajinder Singh all residents of Delhi. Garikapati Venkata Baskara Satyanarayana Sharma confessed that, he has been running a SS University Center consultancy business at Mettuguda, Secnderabad since 10 years. He contacted many innocent students through Sujatha, who is working as a receptionist and telecaller & advisor in his SS university Center from 2012.
Later, he searched in Google and came to know about one time sitting study certificates providers. During this process he came in contact with the accused Akhilesh Semwal, Dinesh Singh and Tajinder Singh who worked in MG university earlier and providing fake study certificates from the said University. So far, they have provided fake study certificates to nearly 430 people and collected an amount ranging from Rs 1,50,000 to 2,50,000 from each student.
The police team seized 157 sets of MG university Marks memos, 11 files of MG University Convocation, eight Register post envelops from MG University, one HCL CPU (Intel Core), nine Laptops, four stamps, MG University ID Cards,
MG University prospectus, three sets of SS Universities Center letter pads
SS Universities Center Application Forms, Bill Books and so on.
