Hyderabad, Transport Minister P Mahender Reddy today informed the Legislative Council that the TRSRTC is keen to rope in Electric Buses to shift the passengers by next September.
Giving clarification on the Electric Buses proposal, the minister said that the government is committed for improving transportation facility for its passengers. Mahender Reddy stated that they plan to introduce a total of 100 buses in a phased manner. In the first phase it is being planned to introduce 40 buses and in the second phase the rest of the 60 buses, he said. The minister said that the electric buses will be roped in under the Central Scheme of Fame India.
