Hyderabad, Nov. 06 (Syed Baquer Ali -PMI): Elaborate Security arrangements have been made in the East Zone police limits falling under Hyderabad city. Politically significant Assembly constituencies of Amberpet and Secundrabad completely comes in this zone apart from parts of Gosha Mahal, Musheerabad, Sanath Nagar, Khairtabad and Uppal Assembly constituencies polling booths fall under East Zone Police Limits.
Exclusively speaking to Syed Najaf Ali Shoukat, News Editor Press Media of India, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) East Zone, Sri Sunil Dutt, IPS said that special arrangements have been made in all the 581 polling stations falling under the East Zone Police Limits of Hyderabad city. Polling stations which have been identified by the ECI as critical are being taken care off.
He urged the citizens of the East Zone Police Station limits to actively take part in the Democratic process of Voting in the Assembly Election in a Free and Fair environment without fear which are held every five years to elect their representatives in the State Assembly without any fear or enticement.
He said as per the instructions of CP Hyderabad Sri Sandeep Shandilya, IPS all preparatory arrangements are going on such as deposit of Arms, execution of Non-Bail able Warrants (NBW), Counseling and vigilance on Rowdy Sheeter’s and anti-social elements, bond over’s and interactions to discourage people from indulging in malpractice and scaring voters or influencing them.
Zonal Police Election cells had been setup to take up preventive measures and monitor election related offences. It will take up the enforcement work prevention of influencing voters through cash, liquor, freebies, drugs apart from mapping of critical polling locations and critical polling stations said DCP Sunil Dutt.
Mr. Sunil Dutt said that almost all the fire arms have been deposited excluding weapons which are being used for essential services. Apart from this all the Rowdy and History Sheeter’s are being Counseled and a strict vigilance is being kept on them. Bind over of antisocial elements indulging in disruptive activities is being taken up and it’s an ongoing process and about 248 persons have been bounded till now.
Apart from this three flying squads for each Assembly Constituency have been setup. Election code is being fully implemented and vehicle checking is being done and till now Rs 1.65 core has been seized and 9 cases have been booked for poll code violation. To maintain peace and install confidence in the voters 24 X 7 patrolling is being done, DCP said. (Press media of india)
