Dy CM  Bhatti Vikramarka Announces Job Creation Plan in Three Stages

Hyderabad’ May 24 (Zahid Hussain-PMI): Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka stated that the people’s government is ensuring employment and livelihood opportunities for unemployed youth in three phases.

On Saturday, he inaugurated a mega job fair organised by the Singareni Collieries Company in Wyra constituency. Speaking to the youth, he emphasised that the government aims to harness the talent of every educated person for societal benefit and Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and the entire cabinet are focused on creating job opportunities.

Among the three-phase approach to job creation, the initial step focuses on offering employment opportunities for young individuals in the government sector via the Telangana Public Service Commission. The state government has already appointed approximately 56,000 individuals to government positions in the first year and is actively working to fill an additional 30,000 roles, he stated.

The Deputy Chief Minister said the second phase is to provide jobs in the private sector. By attracting multinational companies through infrastructure development, job opportunities are being created for lakhs of youth. Third source is to provide employment opportunities with the self-employment. Through the Rajiv Yuva Vikasam scheme, Rs.9,000 crore has been allocated to encourage self-employment. On June 2, 5 lakh youths will receive sanction letters, he disclosed.

Bhatti Vikramarka criticised the previous BRS government for not filling 2 lakh vacancies during their 10-year rule and failing to conduct even one Group-1 exam. Many qualified youths were left unemployed, which led to emotional and financial distress among families. But, the current Congress government is now working to provide opportunities through the three-phase plan under Indiramma Rajyam, he added.

Phase 1: Government Job Recruitment

The first phase focuses on filling existing vacancies within the state government. Since the Congress government assumed office, approximately 59,000 appointment letters have been issued, with an additional 30,000 positions slated for recruitment soon. This effort aims to provide stable employment to the youth who have actively participated in the Telangana movement. Deccan Chronicle+1The Times of India+1

Phase 2: Infrastructure Development and Private Sector Engagement

The second phase emphasizes infrastructure upgrades, particularly in Hyderabad, to attract multinational investments capable of generating numerous job opportunities. Additionally, job melas are being organized to facilitate direct recruitment by private companies. For instance, a recent job mela in Khammam district saw the participation of 100 private companies, collectively offering approximately 5,000 job positions. Deccan Chronicle

Phase 3: Rajiv Yuva Vikasam Self-Employment Scheme

The third phase introduces the Rajiv Yuva Vikasam scheme, a self-employment initiative aimed at providing financial assistance to unemployed youth from Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Backward Classes (BC), and minority communities. Under this scheme, each beneficiary will receive up to ₹3 lakh to establish their own ventures, with a total allocation of ₹9,000 crore for the year. The government has set a target to issue sanction letters to 5 lakh youth by June 2, Telangana Formation Day. These phases collectively represent a robust approach to tackling unemployment, combining direct government employment, private sector engagement, and support for entrepreneurship. The government’s structured timeline and commitment to resource allocation underscore its dedication to fulfilling the aspirations of the youth in Telangana. The Times of India
