Hyderabad, April 30 (Newslines)The Madhapur SOT teams of Cyberabad and Madhapur Police today apprehended one Matam Veerendar, who has been peddling drugs near Cyber Towers junction and seized 70 gram MDMA (Methylenedioxy-Methamphetamine) drug, one four wheeler and one mobile phone, all worth about Rs 10,00,000 from his possession.
Police said the accused came into contact with one Pradeep Sharma of Rajasthan and stared procuring MDMA drugs from him at Rs 1,000 per gram and selling it in Hyderabad for Rs 6,000 to 7,000 per gram to consumers. The police arrested drug peddler Matam Veerendar alias Veeru, 40 of Pedda Devada village under Bichukunda Mandal of Kamareddy District. Drug suppliers Pradeep Sharma of Prathap Ghad of Rajasthan and his assistance Naresh Chowdary of Rajasthan are absconding. The police also seized MDMA drug weighing 70 gram, Maruthi Celerio vehicle, a mobile phone and a small digital weighing machine from the main accused. All the seized property was valued about Rs ten lakh.
