Accused Vikas Sohu used to procure drugs from peddlers and sell them to truck drivers from other States, say police
Shadnagar: May 30 (PMI) In a major crackdown on drug peddling, the SOT Shamshabad team, in coordination with the Shadnagar Police, apprehended a drug peddler near Sanju Bhai Marwadi Dhaba at Raikal Toll Gate on NH-44. The accused, identified as Vikas Sohu, was caught with drugs valued at over ₹3 crore in the international market.

The Operation
Acting on a tip-off, the police team conducted a raid at the dhaba and caught Vikas Sohu in the act. Investigations revealed that Vikas had been involved in drug trafficking since 2019, operating out of the dhaba under the guise of a cooking master.
Previous Offenses: Vikas, along with the late dhaba owner Sanju Bhai, was earlier arrested in 2022 for selling ganja. Despite his release, Vikas resumed the illegal trade, sourcing drugs from suppliers identified as Salim (Dhulpet), Raju (Jalpally, Maheshwaram), and Ganpath (Madhya Pradesh).
Profitable Network: Vikas and his associates sold heroin, opium, and poppy straw at high margins, targeting truck drivers and pedestrians at the dhaba. Recently, he had restocked large quantities of drugs but was caught before selling them.
