Hyderabad, Nov.9 (PMI): Reacting to the Supreme Court judgment in the centuries-old Ayodhya case, AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi today said the Supreme Court is “supreme but not infallible” and termed its judgment on the Ayodhya title dispute as a victory of “faith over facts”. Owaisi expressed apprehension that the Sangh Pariwar will now target other mosques, including those at Mathura and Kashi. He also cautioned that the country was heading on the path of a ‘Hindu Rashtra’.
Owaisi hit out at the judgment saying there has been discrimination against Muslims and no one can deny it. “We are fighting for our legal rights,” he added. Rejecting the Apex Court’s decision to allot an alternate land to the Muslim parties, he said, “The entire nation was marching on the way of being a ‘Hindu Rashtra’. I am scared that there are many mosques where the Sangh Parivar will claim rights. He also said the Supreme Court has not given them as a bounty. They need to decide whether to take it or not, he added.
Replying to a question, the AIMIM supremo said the Muslim Personal Law Board will take a decision on challenging the SC verdict.
