Hyderabad, Dec.22 (Press media of india): The trouble shooter of the Congress party and former chief minister of Madhya Pradesh Digivijay Singh today expressed anger at the behaviour of the senior leaders of the party at Gandhi Bhavan in Nampally. He asked the leaders as to why they were behaving irresponsibly by approaching media persons over the internal problems of the party instead of becoming a role model to others.
Digvijay Singh made these remarks during his meeting with the senior leaders of the party. He asked the leaders to bring the issues to the notice of the party high command instead of going to media. Singh personally recorded the grievances of the party leaders and assured them of addressing them. He held one-to-one meeting with the party leaders. He made it clear that the issue of junior and senior leaders was not good for the party in Telangana. He made it clear all the party leaders have equal responsibility to bring the party into power again in the next assembly elections in Telangana.
Singh also told the leaders that the party high command was observing every development in the State with keen interest and warned the leaders that the high command would not be a mute spectator if any of the party leaders cross its line of discipline. He also asked the senior leaders about the strategies they have for defeating the ruling BRS party in the next assembly elections and the role they were going to play to defeat the ruling party.
Speaking to media persons after his meeting with Digivijay Singh, CLP leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka said most of the senior leaders have complete understanding about the State and added that they were also aware of the seniority of the party leaders. He said they discussed about contemporary political, economic and social issues with Digvijay Singh.
Meanwhile, some student leaders of Osmania University tried to attack former MLA and the party leader E. Anil Kumar at Gandhi Bhavan protesting against the recent comments made by him against the senior leaders. The situation suddenly turned violent at Gandhi Bhavan due to the attempts of the student leaders to attack Anil Kumar. However, TPCC senior vice-president Mallu Ravi intervened and pacified the student leaders.
Speaking on the occasion, the student leaders alleged that the party high command had not given them adequate importance although they had been working for the party for a long time. They also alleged that some leaders of the party were trying to damage it in Telangana. (PMI)
