Hyderabad, June 27( Press media of India): The DGP of the state M. Mahender Reddy today met with the son of the Addagudur police station lockup death victim Mariamma at Khammam hospital. The son of the victim Uday Kiran is undergoing treatment at the hospital. He gathered the details about the entire incident from him during his meeting. The son of the victim told the DGP that the police beat him up brutally and urged him to do justice to him and his family. He broke down before the DGP.
The DGP assured Uday Kiran that the state government would extend all kinds of support to him. He told Uday Kiran that they had suspended all the accused police personnel in the incident. Speaking to media persons later Mahendar Reddy termed the lockup Death of Mariamma as unfortunate and added that they would conduct a detailed inquiry into the incident. He also said that they would gather information from Mariamma in the incident and added that complete details would be revealed only after their inquiry. He warned that they would action against all those who went against rules in the brutal incident. (PMI)
