Hyderabad, Nov.10 (PMI): The deadline for filing nominations for Telangana Assembly polls ended on Friday.
Compared to last year, more than a thousand nominations have been filed this time. The number of nominations has reached 3,114 as of 12 PM, according to the details disclosed by the CEO’s office.
This number is likely to increase as huge number of candidates filed in many segments in the last hours.
According to reports, this time around 190 nominations were filed in Gajwel Assembly constituency and more than 140 in Kamareddy Assembly constituency.
As BRS president and Chief Minister K Chandrashekar is contesting from both Gajwel and Kamareddy Assembly constituencies, students, youth, farmers and family members of martyrs filed dozens of nominations in these two Assembly segments with the aim of defeating KCR.
The scrutiny of nominations will be held on November 13. (Press media of india).
