Hyderabad, PMI ( Ali Abbas PMI): A coordination meeting was held today by Smt Sneha Mehra DCP South Zone, Hyderabad, with the Bhagyanagar Ganesh Uthsav Committee, zonal officials, and Ganesh Utsav organizers at the Reddy Jana Sangham Function Hall, under the jurisdiction of the Chatrinaka police station. The meeting focused on discussing security measures for the upcoming Ganesh Chaturthi festival and addressing challenges the organizers face.
Addressing the gathering, DCP SnehaMehra stated that the police department is working to ensure that the installation and immersion of Ganesh idols are carried out as per the plan, without any errors. She urged the committee members to cooperate. The police are making tight security arrangements to ensure no disruptions during the Ganesh processions. She appealed to the devotees to celebrate the festival peacefully and grandly. She also suggested taking precautions to prevent fires during the pandals and urged the organizers to maintain peace and order during the Ganesh festival. She advised the organizers not to take the law into their own hands, even in tense situations, and to ensure that the celebrations take place in a peaceful atmosphere.
She informed that volunteers must be present at the Ganesh mandapam throughout the day. At least three volunteers should be present during the night. She also suggested that the organizers make arrangements for queues in the mandaps, keeping in view the visits of devotees. She advised that CCTV cameras be installed in the mandaps, even if it is temporarily, until the end of the festival. She further stated that flexes should be installed in the mandaps with details of the Ganesh mandapam organizers, committee, and those responsible for the mandaps, along with their phone numbers.
