DCP K. Shilpavalli Outlines Visionary Policing Roadmap for Central Zone Officers

Hyderabad’Nov 9 (Najaf ali Shoukat-PMI) A comprehensive orientation meeting for Central Zone police officers was held at Red Rose Function Hall under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner of Police K. Shilpavalli, IPS. The session, attended by nearly 600 officers, aimed to align the operational framework of the Central Zone with the strategic vision of Director General of Police B. Shivadhar Reddy, IPS, and Hyderabad Police Commissioner V.C. Sajjanar, IPS.

Addressing the gathering, DCP Shilpavalli emphasized the guiding principles articulated by the DGP — Fair, Firm, Friendly, and Professional Policing. She reiterated that the foundation of effective policing lies in being citizen-centric, empathetic, and integrity-driven, urging all officers to uphold the highest standards of ethics and professionalism in every aspect of duty.

Echoing the Commissioner’s message, she reminded that although only a small fraction of citizens visit police stations, each interaction shapes the public’s perception of the entire department. Officers were instructed to handle every grievance with empathy, patience, and commitment, and to perform even routine tasks with extraordinary dedication to build trust and respect through service excellence.

Highlighting discipline and presentation as integral to the force’s image, the DCP underlined that clean and orderly police stations reflect institutional pride and command public respect. Officers were urged to maintain neatness, personal discipline, and a dignified appearance at all times.

She further advised strengthening community relations, awareness programs, and intelligence networks, stressing that these are vital for proactive policing and effective crime prevention.

Concluding the session, DCP Shilpavalli reminded all personnel that, whether on or off duty, every officer represents the Hyderabad City Police and Telangana Police. She cautioned that any lapse in conduct, behavior, or financial integrity would invite strict disciplinary action.(pressmediaofindia.com)
