Hyderabad, Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao and Housing Minister A Indrakaran Reddy today inaugurated 20 units of double bedroom housing facility constructed for nomad tribe, especially at Pittalawada of Mandapalli mandal in Siddipet district.

The aim of the government was to provide housing facility to the poor. The minister warned that serious action will be taken if these houses are put for sale, purchase, or given on rent. The new house owners should enjoy staying in the houses allotted to them, he said, adding that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao wants to provide the housing facility to the poor for their self-respect.
“We will give you monetary assistance for marriage of the girls under Kalyana Lakshmi scheme”, he said. The government will construct 2.70 lakh double bedroom houses, including one lakh in Hyderabad for the poor in one year, he added. The new house owners should send their children to schools for better future instead of encouraging their old profession. The government was ready to extend all support to the nomad tribe with all facilities, he said.
Harish Rao said the Telangana State is second to none in the welfare sector and started the housing scheme like no other State in India, Harish said. Indrakaran Reddy vowed to complete the housing facility on time and distribute them among the poor.
