Hyderabad, Feb.5 (PMI): Former Union minister and senior BJP leader Bandaru Dattatraya on Tuesday termed the observations of the Supreme Court in the case involving Kolkata Police Commissioner Rajiv Kumar as victory of the democracy. He also said Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu and Karnataka Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy should treat it as a lesson to them.
Hailing the order of the apex court that Kolkata Police Commissioner Rajiv Kumar should appear before the CBI, Dattatraya alleged that West Bengal Chief Minister Mamatha Benarjee tried to create Constitutional crisis and an internal war among the States of the country and the Centre. He also charged the Bengal CM, the DGP and Kolkata City Police Commissioner with enacting a drama by staging a dharna.
Dattatraya wondered as to how Mamatha Benarjee would react to the observations of the Supreme Court. Targeting AP CM Nara Chandrababu Naidu, Dattatraya alleged that Naidu was trying to divert the attention of the people of the State by making non-stop allegations against the Narendra Modi government.
