KABUL/ ISLAMABAD: 34 people have been confirmed dead and over 77 wounded in a suicide bomb attack outside an education centre in the Afghan capital, Kabul, while another alleged attack on bus was reported, officials say.

The explosion at the private facility, which offers courses for students in higher education, occurred late in the afternoon, the interior ministry said.

The building in the predominantly Shia Muslim Dasht-e-Barchi area usually hosts hundreds of students.

Many have been taken to hospital. There are fears the death toll may rise.

The Islamic State (IS/ ISIL/ ISIS also known as Daesh) group said it was behind the attack in messages posted on its social media channels, but did not provide any evidence.

Earlier, the Taliban denied involvement in the attack.

“A suicide bomber wanted to enter the education centre,” interior ministry spokesman Tariq Arian said in a statement, AFP news agency reports.

The spokesman added that the attacker was identified by security guards

One local resident, Ali Reza, told media that those killed and injured were students waiting to enter the facility. “I was standing about 100m from the centre when a big blast knocked me down,” he said.

Afghanistan has seen a rise in violence in recent weeks – with most of the attacks carried out by the Taliban. The violence threatens to imperil peace talks between government forces and the Taliban in the Qatari capital, Doha.

The Shia community in Afghanistan has previously been targeted by Sunni Muslim extremists such as the Islamic State group, which views the Shia practice of Islam as heretical.

Saturday’s attack is not the first to target an education centre in the country.

Forty-eight people – many of them teenagers – were killed in August 2018 when a suicide bomber walked into a tuition facility and detonated a device while teaching was under way. The Islamic State group said it was behind that attack.

And in May, 24 women, children and babies were killed when unidentified gunmen entered a maternity ward at a hospital in Kabul and opened fire.

Earlier this week, 11 children and their prayer leader died an air strike on a religious school in the northern Afghan province of Takhar, according to local officials. The Afghan government disputed the account, saying the strike had killed Taliban fighters.

It is once again mentioned here for record and memory of hundreds of illiterate, immature, uneducated, biased, anti-Shia, anti-Islam and anti-Pakistan people particularly immigration authorities and case officers of Australia and other ‘planners’, ‘decision makers’, ‘authorities’, ‘officials’, rulers and other relevant and irrelevant ‘characters’ those have been claiming themselves as well as on the basis of press releases, statements, handouts and  issued by Pakistani government, agencies, security forces that now there are no Taliban or al-Qaeda or other similar terror group exist in Pakistan while they also claim that neither TTP nor ISIL (Daesh or ISIS) are operating there network form unknown places against Pakistan and similar claims for Shia Afghanis of Afghanistan, Hazara Community of Pakistan are also announced and propagated worldwide while the entire Pakistani, Indian and Afghani print, electronic and social media lauding that the TTP, Daesh/ ISIS or ISIL, Lashkar-e-Jhangvi, Jaish-e-Muhammad, Lashkar-e-Tayyaba and other national and international terror groups and organizations have finalized very big, dangerous and hidden terror plans to kill thousands of Pakistani people especially political and religious leaders across country and concerned authorities have issuing ‘alerts’ in this connection, sources claim.

Sources also ask that if Australian hypocrites or any other ‘character’ that has claimed or claims or believes that there were no above terrorists in Pakistan or are not in Pakistan presently then what they will say now?

It has been proved that only the Messenger and PMI were only the two media outlets those claims have been and are being proved world by world which were claimed or being claimed, sources proudly added.
