Hyderabad, Oct. 26(PMI) As part of Police Commemoration Week, the Hyderabad Central Zone Police on Sunday organized a Cyclothon from People’s Plaza to Seven Tombs in Tolichowki to pay tribute to police personnel who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from around 500 cyclists, including 100 police personnel. The Cyclothon was flagged off by Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central Zone) K. Shilpavalli, who lauded the initiative for its spirit of unity and remembrance.
Speaking on the occasion, DCP Shilpavalli expressed gratitude to the HCL management and Hyderabad Cyclists group for collaborating with the police department to organize the event. She said such activities serve as a reminder of the courage and commitment of the police force that continues to safeguard citizens at all times.
She further appealed to the public to take part in large numbers in the Mega Blood Donation Camp being organized on Monday across all police zones of Hyderabad as part of the commemoration week.
The Cyclothon, a non-competitive community ride, aimed not only to honor police martyrs but also to promote fitness, social awareness, and solidarity between the police and the public.(pressmediaofindia.com)
