Cyber Crime Police | Hyderabad: Cyber Crime Police has issued notices to Social Media Trolls. Cybercrime DCP Sneha Mehra spoke to the media on this occasion.
Hyderabad ‘March ’29 ‘2023 (PMI)It is observed that some youth are posting objectionable, defamatory and insulting content with morphed videos against some Public representatives with an intention to increase their subscribers and increase their TRP rating there by to earn money. Such acts of them attract various penal sections under IPC and Information Technology Act.
In the chase of increasing their subscribers and likes they are sometimes posting content which even harm the basic modesty of women.
We have registered about 20 cases recently against the owners/up loaders of various trolling channels, which are Spreading objectionable, defamatory and insulting morphed videos against Various Public Representatives. We have traced Eight persons and took necessary legal action against them.
Most of the trollers are young men 20-30 years of age who are either studying or dropped out , such attraction and craze of trolling in long term can lead to and promote even indecency and encourage lawlessness among youth.

Hence all the owners/up loaders of Trolling Channels are hereby warned not to indulge in any type of such trolls/memes, which are outrageous, abusive and indecent to the modesty of the women in general and the Individual in specific. Necessary Penal action shall be initiated against all such trollers.
