Cyberabad Police Solve ₹40 Lakh Dacoity Case in 24 Hours; Seven Arrested

Hyderabad, Sept 13 (Shoukat-PMI)– Cyberabad Police cracked a sensational dacoity case within 24 hours of its occurrence under the Shankarpally Police Station limits, Rajendranagar Zone. Seven accused were arrested, and ₹17.5 lakh of the stolen ₹40 lakh was recovered.

On September 12, businessman Rakesh Agarwal’s manager, Sai Baba, was returning from Vikarabad after collecting cash when their car was intercepted near Hussainpur gate. The gang assaulted him and fled with ₹40 lakh. However, their getaway vehicle overturned near Kothapally village, forcing them to flee on foot.

Swift action by Shankarpally Police and five special teams led to the identification of the culprits. Investigations revealed that cab driver Madhu, who had been regularly hired by the victim, masterminded the crime with the help of his associates. The gang conducted a recce, planned the attack, and executed it with the help of two vehicles.

With coordinated efforts involving Sangareddy and Shadnagar Police, all seven accused — including Madhu, Vijay Kumar, Mohd. Azar, Harshavardhan, Shameem Mulla, Anudeep, and Deepak were apprehended. Several of them have prior criminal records.

Commissioner of Police, Cyberabad, Avinash Mohanty, said the swift detection and coordinated efforts of local police, SOT, and CCS teams ensured the arrest of all accused and recovery of part of the stolen amount.(pressmediaofindia.com)
