Hyderabad’25 Jan’2024 (PMI) In view of Road Safety month 2024 (Jan 15th to Feb 14th), Cyberabad DCP (Traffic) D.V. Srinivasa Rao, IPS., along with other Traffic Branch officers held a Traffic awareness meeting today with schools and college managements at O/o DCP Madhapur Traffic office, Gachibowli.
Various issues discussed in the meeting are as follows:
Reducing traffic congestion issues in front of schools & college.
Alighting points should be created inside the schools & college premises while the children drop and pick-up, to avoid traffic congestion and to prevent untoward incidents.
Make sure while hiring the drivers for the schools & college buses should be professional and should possess valid heavy vehicles driving license and to develop a checking mechanism to prevent Drunk Driving, etc.,
The schools & college management were requested to arrange Parking facility at designated places. If the parking facility is not there in schools & colleges, they should hire parking places.
Road Safety awareness programs should be conducted at the schools & college where the road safety awareness among the students, parents & drivers.
DCP asked schools & college management to bring traffic related issues to the notice of Cyberabad Traffic Police.
