Hyderabad, Dec.25 (PMI): Senior IPS officer CV Anand today took over charge as the new police Commissioner of the Hyderabad City. Addressing media persons on the occasion, he thanked CM KCR for appointing him as the CP. he said that the City would develop a lot and added that he was happy to be the Commissioner of Police of the City, where he grew up as a child. He said that the keeping law and order was his top priority and added that the residents of the City had been living happily together. He recalled that CM KCR had held a review meeting on the law and order situation in the state capital when he was the Commissioner of Cyberabad and added that they took a lot of measures for the protection of women. He said that he worked in the City as the DCP in the year 2001 besides working as the additional commissioner of traffic wing of the City. The New CP of Hyderabad City Sri Anand said that they would put a special focus on cybercrimes and added that they would also hold awareness programs on the prevention of drugs trafficking and consumption. Commenting on the upcoming New Year celebrations, he said that they would follow the orders of the State Government on the issue. (Press Media of India)
