Hyderabad, Nov.26 (PMI): Dr. K. Narayana, National Secretary, CPI, has appreciated the decision of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy to refuse the donation of ₹100 crores announced by corporate giant Adani and a good friend of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Chief Minister has announced in the presence of ministers Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, Duddilla Sridhar Babu and Uttam Kumar Reddy.
In a press statement, the CPI leader said the donation was announced by the Adani Foundation to Young India Skill University. It is not out of context to remember that CPI has brought to the notice of the media about the fraud credentials of Adani and also the friendship bond between Modi and Adani. CPI also exposed how Adani has many airports and naval ports. People in general and politicians, in particular, know how Modi has handed over several premier lands at throwaway prices.
Above all, the Adani coal company in Queen’s Land of Australia faced opposition for seven years from environmentalists aboriginals. Finally, the Australian government has declared the closure of Adani coal mines. At present, he is involved in fraud cases and bribery cases. He will have to face New York court. At this juncture, the Indian government has to arrest him.
Hence, taking donations from a corporate shark is unethical and unjustifiable. It will follow quid pro. In this position, the Telangana State government has takenan appropriate stand, Dr K. Narayana stated. (PMI)
