Hyderabad, The CPI state secretary Chada Venkat Reddy has demanded the state government to increase reservations to tribal people up to 10 percent issuing G.O. in this regard and implement them immediately.
Telangana Girijana Samakhya (TGS) organised a round table meeting at Maqdhoom Bhavan here on Friday under the leadership of TGS general secretary Ramavath Anjaiah Naik. Participating in the meeting, Chada Venkat Reddy has given a call to the tribal people to wage movements for the rights of them. He said that there were no results though the rulers’ were changed. He demanded the state government to initiate steps to provide reservations to the tribal people based on their population.
He alleged that the TRS government failed to implement the SC, ST Sub-plan properly and it was failed to fill the backlog posts but the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was ruling the state with magic words. He demanded KCR to allocate Rs.100 crore for the comprehensive development of tribal people. Asking the state government to implement reservations in private sector, Chada asked tribal unions to wage movements unitedly to achieve their share of reservations. He warned state government that CPI will not keep quiet if the government works in a manner that it destroys the livelihood of podu tribal farmers.
Former Minister Ravindra Naik, Girijana Sangam general secretary Dharma Naik, Girijana Ikya Vedika general secretary V Vivek also spoke.
