CP SAJJANAR WARNED THE MEDIA THAT THEY WOULD FILE CASES IF ANY SECTION OF THE MEDIA FILED FALSE STORIES AGAINST THEM AND CP HYD URGES MEDIA NOT TO PUBLISH FALSE STORIES AGAINST POLICE DEPARTMENT

Hyderabad, Feb.22:  City Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar on Saturday urged the media not to publish false stories against the Police department and create confusion among the people in the State Capital and the State.

Anjani Kumar made these remarks while addressing the media along with Cyberabad CP VC Sajjanar following publication of a news item by a section of the media.

Speaking on the occasion, he said the article was insulting and damaging the image of the Police department. Citing that the media has an important role to play in the society in creating awareness among the people of the State, he was sad to see that such media had published false stories about their department and misled the people of the State. He urged the media persons not to lose credibility by publishing such false stories.
He made it clear that there was no iota of truth in the allegations that several irregularities were taking place in the appointment and transfers of police personnel. He made it clear that the Telangana police has good name across the country and added that they had completely removed the problem of Maoists from the State.

Cyberabad Police Commissioner Sajjanar made it clear that they were following utmost transparency in the transfers and appointments of their staff. He warned the media that they would file cases if any section of the media filed false stories against them.
