Hyderabad Dec18 (PMI): The Commissioner of Police Sri Mahesh M Bhagwar IPS, in ongoing drive against Rowdy Sheeters/ trouble mongers and ante-Social elements and ensure safety and security among the general public and to preserve public order in Rachakonda Commissionerate has detained one notorious Rowdy Sheeter namely Mohammed Salman under PD Act and detained in Central Prison Cherlapally on 18 December 2020.
The accused since 2016 as a juvenile his associates started indulging in committing theft, Goondaism in the limits of Meerpet Police Station Rachakonda Commissionerate and Hyderabad City during between 2016 and 2019, the accused was involved in as many as Twelve (12) cases of thefts, Rioting, Criminal intimidation, assault on Public servants, Robberies, extortions and Attempt to Murder in the PS limits of Meerpet, Saroornagar of Rachakonda Police Commissionerate and in the PS limits of Hyderabad City.
Earlier the accused was arrested by Police several times, sent to jail and convicted by the courts. But, he could not change his way of life and resorted to indulge in similar criminal activities soon after his release on bail.
During the year, 2020 he was again involved in (03) cases of Attempt to Murder in the limits of Meerpet PS. He was arrested by Meerpet Police on 16-11-2020 in Cr No: 799/2020 U/s 307, 324 R/w 34 IPC and Sec 25(1)(B)(b) of Arms Act of PS Meerpet.
As such, with a view to prevent said offender Mohammed Salman from acting in a manner prejudicial to the maintenance of public order, Sri Mahesh M. Bhagwat, I.P.S., Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda invoked PD Act against him as a part of preservation of peace and maintaining public order in Rachakonda and to check the menace of Rowdism and detained him in the Central Prison, Cherlapally on 18-December 2020.
