Hyderabad’Sept 2 ( Najaf Ali Shoukat-PMI) City Police Commissioner Kothakota Sreenivasa Reddy directed all police officers, especially Sub-Inspectors, to ensure the peaceful conduct of the forthcoming Ganesh and Milad-un-Nabi festivals. He conveyed this during a meeting on Tuesday with sub-inspectors from the Law & Order and Traffic Police stations of Hyderabad, which was held at the TGC&CC in Banjara Hills. Senior officers, including Vikram Singh Mann, Additional Commissioner of Police (Law & Order), P. Viswa Prasad, Additional Commissioner of Police (Traffic), Dr. Gajarao Bhupal, Joint Commissioner of Police (Administration), Shilpavalli, Deputy Commissioner of Police (SMIT), and S. Chaitanya Kumar, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Special Branch), were present alongside around 300 Sub-Inspector.
Sreenivasa Reddy stressed the importance of punctuality, honesty, and strong work ethics. He urged the young officers to prioritise their duties and develop empathy towards the public, which would improve the police department’s image. The Commissioner reminded the officers that many could rise to senior ranks, such as SP or even IPS, with dedication and hard work. He highlighted the crucial role of Sub-Inspectors in various aspects of policing, including crime prevention, detection, bandobust duties, and VVIP visits. Effective time management and prioritisation of work were emphasised as essential for improving core policing. The Commissioner also directed the officers to actively participate in all aspects of the upcoming Ganesh festival and Milad-Un-Nabi celebrations. He instructed them to coordinate closely with organisers, peace committees, and other departments.
