Hyderabad Mar 28 (PMI): According to Rachakonda Commissionerate PRO press note across Rachakonda Commissionerate, out of a total of 1989 suspect persons, 1740 persons have been verified on 28th March. Of these 3 are positive cases and 1664 are home quarantined.
So far, 800 passports have been seized and handed over to district authorities.
Enforcing the regulations and orders of the Government with respect to the lock down in view of COVID-19, 29 violation cases, 36 petty cases have been booked in the Commissionerate. In these 65 cases, 81 persons have been found violating the regulations. Also 33 two wheelers and 4 four wheelers have been seized.
Several Good Samaritans and Organizations have come forward to work with Rachakonda Police to serve the needy and vulnerable. 200 laborers from West Bengal are being fed in Balapur PS Limits. In Neredmet PS limits also, groceries have been distributed to nearly 400 poor families.
Rachakonda Police urge the citizens to adhere to the government regulations during the lockdown and also ensure personal hygiene and social distancing to make the efforts of government and police succeed the fight against the Covid 19 pandemic. CP Rachakonda Sri Mahesh Bhagwat has tweeted that Rachakonda Police is ‘with you and for you 24/7’ and asked the public to dial 100, in case of delay of 108, in medical emergencies like cardiac arrest, dialysis, accident or such emergencies to serve the public in the lockdown period.
