NEW DELHI: The number of coronavirus cases in India rose 85,940 on Saturday morning and the toll reached 2,752, according to the health ministry’s latest update. The country reported 3,970 cases and 103 deaths in 24 hours.

About 2,233 patients recovered in the last 24 hours, taking the tally to 30,153.

Maharashtra remains the worst-affected COVID-19 state with 29,100 cases and 1,068 deaths. This is followed by Tamil Nadu (10,108), Gujarat (9,931), Delhi (8,895), Rajasthan (4,727).
