Hyderabad, April 22 (PMI): Rapid spread of Covid-19 continuing in the State unabated. As many as 1,02,235 corona tests were conducted yesterday till 8 p. m. Out of these, 5,567 persons proved positive in the State.
Yesterday, 23 persons died due to corona, the overall toll mounted thus far to 1,899 translating a case fatality rate of 0.50 percent as against the countrywide mortality rate of 1.2 percent, according to a Sate health department bulletin here on Thursday.
The total number of people who have recuperated from COVID statewide so far surged to 3,21,788 after 2,251 persons recovered from the pandemic.
In GHMC limits, 989 new cases were recorded yesterday .
The COVID-19 positive cases reported from the districts included Adilabad (107) , Bhadradri (93), Jagtiyal (200), Jangaon (90), Bhupalpally (47), Gadwal (29), Kamareddy (206), Karimnagar (157), Khammam (134), Asifabad (39), Mahabubnagar (258), Mahabubabad (72), Mancherial (185), Medak (111), Medchal Malkajgiri (421), Mulugu (28), Nagarkurnool (150), Nalgonda (161), Narayanpet (32), Nirmal (109), Nizamabad (367), Peddapalli (80), Rajana Siricilla (117), Rangareddy (437), Sangareddy (176), Siddipet (183), Suryapet (110), Vikarabad (122), Wanaparthy (45), Warangal Rural (88), Warangal Urban (139) and Bhongir (85).
